Bruce Nicholson – Co-Founder
Bruce was an entrepreneur with extensive experience in a diverse range of interests including farming, meat processing, trading, property development and quarrying. In 2006 Bruce, along with his son Jarrod, setup a shellrock quarry on farmland in Maxwell, 25km north west of Whanganui. The operation expanded in 2016 and now has three sites trading under the current name of South Taranaki Quarries. Sadly, Bruce passed away on 13th February 2018, aged 70.
Jarrod Nicholson – Co-Founder
With over a decade of experience up his sleeve, Jarrod is the engine room behind the South Taranaki Quarries operation. From day one Jarrod did the important ground work in creating a strong structure to ensure the company’s ongoing success. Safety, industry knowledge and compliance formed the basis for a good foundation in the early years and they remain as important today as they did back then.
Todd became part of the quarry family in June 2017. His background and experience in business was formed in Australia, extending back to 2004 where he commenced business training and became a qualified Golf Professional in coaching and retail. Todd was based in Melbourne where he had is own coaching and tour operation and most recently was the Head Professional for a prestigious Melbourne club from 2015 to 2017.
